China rebukes "conspiracy theories" by media about COVID-19 origin

The Chinese embassy in Germany expressed dissatisfaction regarding the local media's "conspiracy theories" on the "laboratory accident in Wuhan" and the so-called "study" cited by the media is not a logical and scientific research report, it said in a statement on Saturday.

China always takes the view that tracing the origin of the novel coronavirus is a scientific question that should be conducted rigorously via global cooperation, according to the statement.

China will continue to promote cooperation with the international community and make efforts to contribute to the global management of the pandemic as early as possible, the statement added.
