20 dead, many still missing following flooding in western Venezuela

At least 20 people died following intense rains and major flooding in the western Venezuelan state of Merida, impacting the city of Tovar the hardest. State governor Ramon Guevara said that over 1,200 houses were destroyed and 17 people were still missing as rescue workers search though the wreckage.
