Police in the east U.S. coastal city of Boston are searching for a third man in conjunction with a terror case, after police had shot and killed the first suspect Usaama Rahim on Tuesday, U.S. media reported on Thursday.

Rahim, 26, was shot dead in a parking lot on Tuesday by anti- terror investigators who had him under 24-hour surveillance, while one associate of Rahim, David Wright, 25, was arrested and charged afterwards, according to CNN news report.

From late Wednesday, police were on the trail of the other, whom they have not named, the report said.

Boston police authorities confirmed on Thursday that Rahim, who was fatally shot by anti-terror investigators who tried to question him, had discussed beheading a well-known conservative blogger before changing his target to police officers.

After years of watch by a FBI-led task force, Rahim was believed to belong to an ad hoc terror network and was killed by police after he waved a large army-kind knife at officers.

The third person's contact with Rahim was beyond an "Internet relationship," according to police officers, who have raided locations in U.S. State of Massachusetts, where Rahim lived, with the aim on pursuit of person No. 3. Enditem
