Malaysia has been accepted as the full member of the MH17 Joint Investigation Team, Malaysian Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail said on Monday.

Abdul Gani said this notification was given by the Dutch National Public Prosecutor's Office in its letter dated Nov. 28.

The Joint Investigation Team was initially comprised of the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium and Ukraine. Malaysia has called on the team to include its investigators in the probe instead of being just participants from time to time.

Malaysian Attorney-General will be leaving for the Hague on Wednesday to attend the Third Eurojust Coordination Meeting on the criminal investigation, which is scheduled on Dec. 4.

Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar will also attend the meeting.
