As the coronavirus mutates and takes on new forms, the variants are presenting concerns about transmission and whether vaccines will be effective. The variant originally discovered in Brazil has also been confirmed in the U.S., Japan, Germany, South Korea and Peru. Brazil's neighbor, Venezuela, is preparing for its eventual arrival.
