Indian authorities have closed more than 90 websites linked with the Islamic State (IS) terror group in the western state of Maharashtra, officials said on Sunday.
India's Anti-Terrorism Squad chief Vivek Phansalkar said the influence of IS is clearly seen in Maharashtra and 10 to 12 other states.
India has been clamping down suspected sympathisers and supporters of IS over the past several days by arresting over a dozen men.
