It was bin Alawi’s second trip to Iran during the last two months. According to local reports, Bin Alawi’s trip to Tehran is of vital importance as the tension is rising between Iran and the United States.

No further details about the meeting of the visit have been surfaced yet.

Local reports said that Oman is trying to deescalate tension between Tehran and Washington.

The tension between Iran and the United States triggered after Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 nuclear deal and put the harshest ever sanctions in history against Iran under his “maximum pressure” strategy against Tehran.
