The European Space Agency (ESA) has detected an asteroid which has credible risk to hit the earth in 2084, making it the fourth dangerous ones threatening to his the earth.
The asteroid, identified as 2019 SU3, has a diameter of 46 feet, the ESA said, adding that impact with the earth could occur on September 16 2084 at 17:53.
During that time the asteroid is expected to pass Earth from a distance of 0.00079 astronomical units or roughly 73,435 miles away. Such a distance is very close in term of space.
With this being relatively close it has a slight nudge of colliding with Earth.
ESA has added 2019 SU3 in its Risk List that makes the Paris-based agency to keep watching it closely.
According to ESA, probability of the asteroid’s chances to hit the earth is 'one out of 152'.
The agency said the asteroid is not big enough to cause disastrous impact to the earth if the collision takes place.
