PHNOM PENM ,July.4(APD) -Cambodia’s securities body has signed a memorandum of understanding with China to cooperate on securities cooperation, according to a press release dated on June 1.
The MoU was signed in Beijing between Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC) and China Securities Regulatory Commission.
“The MoU was made to increase cooperation between the two regulators by enhancing mutual understanding and exchange of information, regulations, and techniques in the market, futures regulation, related investment products which their transactions are under supervision of each regulator,” the statement read.
Besides China, Cambodia has bilaterally signed with Thailand and Vietnam and in the frameworks of CLVM countries to cooperate on securities.
The Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) launched in 2012, with support from Korea, and now has five listed companies.
