Protestors in Brazil remember 500,000 COVID deaths

Sixteen months after Brazil recorded its first COVID-19 case, the country ​has surpassed the morbid milestone of half a million deaths. Brazil added 2,301 deaths to its tally ​on Saturday and registered 82,288 new cases.

On Sunday, protesters critical of the government’s handling of the pandemic staged a ceremony to honor to those who have died. Lucrecia Franco reports.
