“It’s delightful for me to join this ballet season again after two years,” the international guest artist Adiarys Almeida said, “The audience here are very enthusiastic and I feel affectionate to perform here in Beijing.”

Ballet art was born in the west but in this world-class show, Chinese cultural elements such as the Yellow River presented by the principal dancer of National Ballet of China made this opening gala become a multinational event.

“Such a fantastic evening,” Li Tie, an audience member said, “The joint show of Chinese and foreign dancers makes the season more attractive. I am really appreciated for the efforts that each artist tonight. I am so happy to have this opportunity to learn more about the ballet.”

This season will last for two months until 14 January 2018. In the following two months, 45 wonderful performances will be held in the Tianqiao theatre.

The National Ballet of China initiated the China International Ballet Season in 2013, with 57 troupes from 27 different countries having already participated in this season so far.
