Ukraine's Jamala wins 2016 Eurovision Song Contest

Ukrainian singer Jamala won the 61st edition of annual Eurovision Song Contest here on Saturday night, beating other 26 singers in the international music show.

The 33-year-old Susana Jamaladinova, who uses the stage name Jamala, won with 534 points, awarded by a combination of a jury and a public vote. Australia and Russia follows the second and third.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 took place in Stockholm following Swedish singer Mans Zelmerlow's victory in the 2015 edition, the sixth time the country has won the contest.

The show was broadcast to some 50 countries around the world, including the United States and China, Eurovision official website said.
