Japan says TPP members agree to start process for UK to join

The 11 members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) decided Wednesday to start negotiations for Britain's entry into the regional free trade agreement, Kyodo news reported citing Yasutoshi Nishimura, a Japanese minister who's in charge of TPP negotiations.

Britain made its formal application to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership in February, according to the report.
