World's 1st ASEAN-focused travel channel launched in Malaysia

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak launched here Monday GOASEAN, the world's first Association of Southeast Asian Nations-focused (ASEAN-focused) travel channel in conjunction with the 26th ASEAN Summit.

The channel targets to bring the hidden gems of each ASEAN- member state together and present it to the world as a single treasure trove waiting to be explored.

GOASEAN will broadcast the unique tourism products and services of each individual ASEAN country to every corner of the globe, spurring the growth of the ASEAN travel industry, promoting intra- ASEAN travel, enhancing mutual respect and appreciation for each other's culture and heritage, and ultimately, contributing to the region's financial and social development.

The channel will broadcast 24/7, 365 days a year from various platforms, primarily IPTV, Mobile, DTH and digital platforms.

Founded in 1967, ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Enditem
