Iran has issued the verdict of the Washington Post reporter, Jason Rezaian, who was detained in Iran last year over spying and propaganda charges, the Iranian Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said here on Sunday.

Rezaian has 20 days to appeal to the court against his verdict, Mohseni-Ejei said, but did not provide further details about his sentence.

Rezaian, 39-year-old Iranian-American, assumed his job as Washington Post correspondent in Tehran in 2012.

He was arrested on July 22, 2014 along with his wife, Yeganeh Salehi, a reporter for The National newspaper based in Abu Dhabi and freelance photographer. Enditem
