It is a million-dollar question that how the humans living on the earth will begin their life after one month, three months, six months or even after a year and this question will determine our future.

Already life has changed a lot in the past few months as efforts to contain the COVID-19 are being ramped up, it is likely to change even more.

But we are already sick of being at home all the time, we miss our friends and relations, everything’s been canceled, the economy is sinking, and we feel anxious and scared about what is ahead.

For many of us, the most impactful geopolitical event that happened during our lifetime was the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The world changed that day, and it has never returned to how it was before.

Earlier, in 1941, nobody knew what the outcome of the World War II was going to be, everybody was terrified as the US and its allies were losing the war. But even in those darkest times people began imagining what the future world would look like.

According to Peter C. Baker “Times of upheaval are always times of radical change. Some believe the pandemic is a once-in-a-generation chance to remake society and build a better future. Others fear it may only make existing injustices worse”.

Cast your mind back a few weeks and imagine someone telling you the following: within a month, schools will be closed. Almost all public gatherings will be cancelled. Hundreds of millions of people around the world will be out of work. Governments will be throwing together some of the largest economic stimulus packages in history and so on and so forth.

We know crises shape history, there are hundreds of thinkers who have devoted their lives to studying how they unfold. But disasters and emergencies do not just throw light on the world as it is. They also rip open the fabric of normality.

Weather COVID-19 was human made or natural disaster, it has harmed the humankind severely. The victims of COVID-19 include rich and poor, celebrities, leaders, and common man. Irrespective of race, religion, and ethnicity, it has spared none. What will be a post-pandemic scenario, no one has thought or imagined?

Maybe more emphasis will be given to the Pharmaceutical Industry than the weapons Industry. Doctors and medical staff will be given priority and maybe preference over Armed forces. Medical Industry will be a priority of all countries and may dominate other sectors. Guns and Tanks may replace medicines and Vaccines.

Existing alliances may break-up, and new partnerships may emerge. Traditional friends may no longer be friends. Especially the existing bond of EU may shake-up. The US may not maintain the status quo. Some other nations may rise and play a global leadership role.

Global Economy may be reshaped, and new trade patterns may emerge. International currencies may face disturbance. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering will be the future trend of developments.

New world order may emerge, which will be much different than the existing one. Some countries may lose domination and while new nations replace them. Mass immigration may take place, and the demography of regions may be reshaped completely.
