Senior CPC official stresses publicity for building well-off society

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning Friday called for better publicity work with a focus on securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting for China's publicity officials in Beijing.

The publicity work of this year should be centered on securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and winning the battle against poverty, Wang said, adding that the publicity work should inspire a fighting spirit in the Chinese people.

He also underlined the importance of telling China's stories well and raising the international influence of Chinese culture.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting and called for efforts to enable the world to better learn about and understand China.
