The students of Xinjin Huayuan Primary School experienced a rice harvest and made scarecrows in Xinjin district, Chengdu, Sichuan province, on Sep 23, to celebrate the fourth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival.
The activity is part of the event now underway at the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park in Xinjin district. The event, sponsored by the Chengdu city government, kicked off on Sep 23 and will last until the end of October.

The China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park is an agricultural expo and agricultural technology comprehensive service platform that serves the revitalization of Sichuan's rural areas.
The opening ceremony, with the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park and rice fields as a backdrop, consisted of a light and shadow show featuring four seasons and a number of performances.

The China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park will continue to hold a series of activities from Sept 24 to Oct 7, such as farming games, musical performances and an artistic installation exhibition.
The other three branch venues in Xinjin as well as other parts of the district will also hold various forms of harvest celebration activities.
