Nepal participates in international tourism fair

KATHMANDU, April 16 (APD) - Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is taking part in the Nepal-China Sales Mission-2018 Tourism Fair in Beijing of China.

The three-day international tourism fair is taking place from today to promote tourism of Nepal. NATTA Chairperson, C N Pandey informed that the fair offers an opportunity for all participating countries to inform about tourism destinations and discuss with the travel agents and tour operators.

Some 10 Nepali travel and tour companies and representatives of Nepal Tourism Board are participating in the fair. Nepal has a separate stall wherein Nepali style, tradition and culture are reflected to draw the attention of Chinese tourists, according to Pandey.

He said that the target of the influx of 1.5 million tourists can be reached by 2020 if tourists from neighbouring India and China are attracted. He further stated that they would disseminate information about Nepal's Lumbini and Mount Everest. NATTA has been participating in the international tourism fair in China since 2005.
