Russia, NATO top brass discuss European security, COVID-19 over phone

Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Valery Gerasimov held a phone conversation Thursday with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Stuart Peach, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The ministry's Zvezda broadcasting service said in a statement that Gerasimov and Peach discussed the situation in the field of European security and arms control.

They also discussed issues of combating the COVID-19 pandemic and measures to prevent incidents during military activities, Zvezda said without providing more details.
