The funeral of Britain's Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband to Queen Elizabeth, took place Saturday at St. George's Chapel Saturday in Windsor.

The coffin of the duke, who died at 99, was brought to the chapel in a converted Land Rover that Prince Philip helped design, and was carried up the West Steps to a platform in the Quire.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, only 30 people were allowed to attend the funeral, but the procession represented his large family. Leading the procession were Prince Charles, Prince AndrewPrincess Anne, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Prince Edward.

Duchess Kate Middleton attended with her husband, Prince William, but Duchess Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, was not present as she was not cleared to fly from California, being in the later stages of pregnancy.

The period of national mourning ends Saturday.
