A batch of medical supplies donated by northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was transported Friday from Yinchuan, the regional capital, to Punjab in Pakistan to help with the local coronavirus fight.

The supplies include 1,000 N95 masks, 20,000 surgical masks and 500 protective suits, with a total value of over 120,000 yuan (around 16,946 U.S. dollars). It is the third batch of medical supplies that Ningxia has donated to its international friendship cities, after Gyeongsangbuk-do in the Republic of Korea and Qazvin in Iran.

Ningxia and Punjab signed an agreement on establishing relations of friendly exchanges in September 2006. They have carried out fruitful exchanges and cooperation in areas of tourism, education and agriculture.
