On April 2, the School of International Relations of Overseas Chinese University and the Sino-US Relations Research Center of Tsinghua University jointly held an academic seminar to analyze and look forward to the development of cross-strait relations from the perspective of the game between China and the United States. More than 10 experts from Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and Fudan University attended the seminar.

Experts at the meeting believe that the United States is the most direct factor leading to the uncertainty and high risk of cross-strait relations, and Taiwan is an important basis for the United States to launch strategic competition with China. Experts at the meeting also analyzed the changes in policies, economies, strategies, exchanges and other means of interfering with the U.S. government and the two houses of Congress affecting cross-strait relations, and said that the United States will continue to bring major risks and challenges to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

Experts at the meeting suggested that in the face of the increasingly complex international environment, we should strengthen our strategic initiative, build a normal communication and exchange mechanism such as education, culture and economy through strong measures, build a cross-strait community with a shared future, create a good public opinion environment between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, further enhance the consensus between the two sides of the Taiwan.
