Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair characterized by "One Belt One Road" strategy

China Imported Commodities Fair 2015, the top of its kind in China, will take place in June 4 in Yiwu, attracting 1,600 exhibitors from over 100 countries and regions .

According to the organizer, the China Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair 2015 will cover imported household articles, food, beverages, ornaments as well as garments. Visiting traders will have the opportunity to purchase over 100,000 types of foreign goods during the three-day fair featuring 1600 exhibitors.

Ranking among the top of its kind in China, the fair is the only exposition to feature imported consumables in Yiwu, and is closely connected to the “One Belt One Road” national development strategy.

Mainly from the “One Belt One Road” countries and regions, those participating businesses from 100 countries aim to build Yiwu into the whole-dimensional pattern of the sale and purchase for global products. Japanese appliances, French wines, Australian cashmere, German kitchen wares and Natural Baltic ambers from Poland can be easily found at the fair.

Focusing on boosting the development between imported trade and e-commerce , nearly 10,000 e-commerce and businesses will visit the fair in search of business opportunities, the organizer said, adding that participating businesses and commodities may also promote on online platforms such as “yiwubuy” and “aijinkou”.

The fair will establish a long-term system linking the conference, the exhibition and the markets to provide participating businesses with opportunities to move into Yiwu market, said the organizer, expecting that the fair would turn Yiwu into a bridge through which global commodities are expected to enter Chinese markets.

The fair is jointly organised by China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) and China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP); and undertaken by Bureau of Foreign Trade Development Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, Exhibition Department of CCOIC, Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Sub-council and People’s Government of Yiwu.
