**COLOMBO, May 17 (APD) ** - Sri Lanka's largest business organization, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), said on Wednesday that representatives from over 50 foreign companies
including China, would arrive in the island to take part in a mega business conclave this month to discuss foreign investments.

In a statement issued here, the CCC said that companies from more than 15 countries had already registered to take part in the upcoming Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2017 showing interest in exploring opportunities in diverse economic sectors of the country.
Large to medium scale firms from China, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Qatar, South Korea, Thailand, Mongolia, Germany, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia along with firms from several other countries will be in Colombo to hold
meetings with local counterparts.
The CCC said some of the firms from China that will feature at the upcoming conclave are China MCC20 Group Corp, Jiahong ( Shanghai) Import and Export Limited and China National Technical Import and Export Corporation of China.
From Pakistan Bio Green International of Pakistan will feature at the event.
The conclave organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will take place from May 30 to June 1.
The 2-day event will provide potential Investors with an overall outlook of Sri Lankas investment climate and also make room for establishing links between both local and foreign investors.
Sri Lankas diplomatic missions overseas and the 127 chambers of commerce, which the Ceylon Chamber has partnerships is also promoting the conclave worldwide.
The inaugural business conclave held last year attracted 127 foreign participants from 25 countries.
