Film actors of the Indian film industry, popularly known as Bollywood, on Tuesday paid tribute to the victims of the terror attacks on Mumbai which took place on November 26, 2008.
It was the eleventh anniversary of the terror attacks, in which 166 people died while more than 300 were injured.
The attacks had taken place in different locations across Mumbai, primarily at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Oberoi-Trident, CST, Nariman House, Cafe Leopold and Cama Hospital.
Among the Bollywood celebrities who paid tribute to the victims, were actors Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Dia Mirza, Divya Dutta, Bhumi Pednekar.
Many of them took to social media to share their thoughts. Through Twitter, actor Arjun Kapoor said, “Remembering our heroes of 26/11… Everyone who helped each other through the tough time..My heart goes out to their courage and sacrifice and for all the innocent victims.”
The veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan hailed the sacrifice made by the police and security officers in saving the lives of the citizens of Mumbai. Actor, Varun Dhawan, said on Twitter that he was a proud resident of Mumbai and, “Will never forget 26/11. We have only grown stronger #mumbaikar #jaihind.”
