No explosive materials in suspicious package at Kosher restaurant in Amsterdam

The suspicious package found in front of the HaCarmel Kosher Restaurant in the south of Amsterdam on Wednesday morning contained no explosive materials, local police said.

At around 10:15 a.m., local police received a report of the suspicious package. Out of precaution, the police largely closed off the Amstelveenseweg street on which the restaurant is located.

The Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service investigated the package and found no explosives.
