Palestinian sources said Thursday a Palestinian man was killed during a clash that broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces in north West Bank city Jenin.

The operation, including gunfire between Palestinians and the Israeli counter terrorism unit and the Israeli security Shabak, led to the injury of two Israeli soldiers and lasted overnight until the early hours of Thursday dawn.

The Israeli forces withdrew from the Wadi Burqin, west of Jenin city, at dawn after demolishing four houses belonging to a family, members of which Israel says are "terrorists" that carried out the shooting attack on Jan. 9, leaving an Israeli man killed.

Israeli police spokesperson Supt Micky Rosenfeld said that the operation in Jenin came to locate "terrorists" who are believed to have shot dead Rabbi Raziel Shevach near Hafat Gilad settlement in the north of the West Bank.

The overnight operation started by arresting Palestinians working at a gas station at the entrance of the city. Then the Israeli forces confiscated and sabotaged cameras located at commercial shops.
