Sudan on Tuesday agreed to take care of the Yemeni interests in Qatar, according to Sudan's Foreign Ministry.
"Sudan's Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour on Tuesday received a message from his Yemeni counterpart dealing with bilateral ties, where the message included a request for Sudan to take care of the Yemeni interests in Qatar," said Sudan's Foreign Ministry in a statement.
"The minister expressed Sudan's agreement on the request based on the strong bonds linking the Sudanese and Yemeni people," added the statement.
On June 5, Yemen's internationally-recognized government joined Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to cut ties with Qatar.
