The U.S. state of California is expected to send 40 percent of all its vaccine supplies to the most vulnerable neighborhoods in an attempt to ensure a more equitable vaccine distribution among its population. The move comes as the state data shows, the vaccination rollout has largely left out underprivileged communities of color, although they have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic in the first place.
