Indian musicians wrote and performed a song "China, stay strong. Stay strong, Wuhan" to show their support for China's fight against coronavirus at a concert in Manipur, India Saturday.

According to the Times of India and Hindustan Times, the concert was held to celebrate the annual Lui Ngai Ni festival locally.

Folk musician Guru Rewben Mashangva took to the stage and performed the song and urged the people of China to stay strong. The song was written by lyricist Ngachonmi Chamroy two days earlier and has Chinese, Tangkhul and Nagamese versions.

While Mashangva was performing on the stage, some participants held placards saying "Stay strong, Wuhan, we are with you" to show their support.

Charmroy said, "Video of the song has gone viral through social media and we are getting calls from the U.S., China and Tangkhul friends from all over." The increasing attention helps spread further the message of solidarity.

India's local music association has decided to hold a special performance later this month to show support for China's fight against the epidemic.

Over 2,000 people have died from the coronavirus so far and more than 74,000 people have been confirmed as having infected with the virus in China. 920 cases have been confirmed outside China and three deaths, one in Japan, the Philippines and France respectively.
