Breaking News2017-11-14

A gunman shot a doctor in the parking lot of a hospital in the northeastern U.S. state of Ohio before killing himself Monday, authorities said. The shooting took place at around 2:00 p.m. (1900GMT) when the victim, who was later identified as 59-year-old doctor George Seese, was shot by the gunman at close range as the doctor was walking to his car outside the Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio. The doctor, who was struck at least twice, died later in hospital, while the gunman was found dead near his vehicle. According to police, the incident appears to be an attempted murder and suicide. The shooter, Michael Wood, aged 50, targeted Seese specifically because the two men had a mutual love interest. The hospital and nearby schools went into lockdown after the shooting, which was later lifted. (ASIA PACIFIC DAILY)
